Rest Day, November 12th 2017

Today was a rest day so all we did today was take a solar shower and hand wash some more laundry. We’re sharing base camp with several other teams who are attempting the climb, but every day a few more teams pack up and leave because they’re out of time.

We also prepped our gear for tomorrow when we will pack more supplies up to camp 1 and climb to camp 2. That will be a full day of fun and hard work, I’m excited to get to camp 2. Right before sunset, the guys pulled out their climbing shoes and chalk and started bouldering on the huge boulder close to camp. It was a lot of fun, I wish I would have brought my rock shoes! It’s Charley’s birthday tomorrow but we will be at camp 1 so our cook made a special meal with pizza and a birthday cake that he prepared at 15,000 ft! He even decorated the mess tent! It looked great and I have no idea how he baked it. We’ve got the best cook for sure!
